NEWBURGH, NY – Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Inc. has named Sandra “Sandi” Cassese, RN, MSN, CNS as executive vice president and chief operating officer. “Sandi’s contribution as Executive VP and COO will enable her to make essential decisions for our agency to ensure our mission in providing our patients and families with compassionate physical, emotional, and spiritual end-of-life care and further the facility’s goals of treating every patient with comfort, dignity, and respect,” said Dan Grady, President & CEO.

Cassese joined Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Inc. over three years ago with an extensive background in healthcare. Sandi Cassese recalls her experience as an advocate for improved quality in healthcare. “I believe in advocacy because I’ve witnessed the positive changes that occur when ordinary people like me get involved,” Cassese states. “Hope isn’t a strategy, but personal action is. As a registered nurse, I may not wear my starched cap any longer, but I always wear my advocacy hat knowing that in my role I have a responsibility to be an influencer.”

She also serves as a member of the Society’s New York City Area Board. Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Inc. is thrilled to benefit from her aptitude for charity and leadership and is excited to see her future contributions to the organization’s mission of providing comfort, support, and quality care to end-of-life patients in Orange and Sullivan counties.
