Hospice and SLCH Present Consider the Conversation Documentary

Consider the Conversation: a documentary on a taboo subject

Newburgh, NY- A community forum featuring the documentary Consider the Conversation is being co-hosted by Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties and St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital on Tuesday, June 5 from 5:30 pm  -7:30 pm at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center, 321 S. William St, Newburgh, NY.

Consider the Conversation is co-produced by friends, Michael Bernhagen and Terry Kaldhusdal. Their experiences of end of life issues within their own personal lives pushed them into this project on a very personal level.

Having the conversation of what it means to live well and having an advanced directive, a legal document that state’s your wishes on end of life care should be part of everyone’s plan.  These concepts need to be introduced to patient and family before they get to the stage of terminal illness.

A panel discussion will follow with Dr. Danielle Belser, Hospice Associate Medical Director, Dr. Kirti Joseph and Sue Martino, NP-C, Palliative Care Specialists, St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital.
