A Call to Community + Commemorating COVID – Friday, March 12 at 1pm
March 11, 2020 – World Health Organization declares global pandemic
March 13, 2020 – United States declares national emergency
It’s Been One Year – a year that will long be remembered. On this day in 2020, the COVID national public health emergency was officially declared. Only a year ago and it is hard to imagine all that has challenged us – as a country, as a provider community, and as individuals. There will be lessons learned and we should find solace in the ways that we have risen to unprecedented challenges that tested our humanity. The pandemic is not yet over but let us mark this day with reflection as we look to the future.
On Friday, March 12, 2021 at 1:00 pm, we will mark this time in our lives with a candle lighting ceremony at our Kaplan Family Hospice Residence. The ceremony will be streamed on our Facebook page and shared. Please join us, or take the opportunity to watch it when you feel you want to.
