Specialized Hospice Care for Hudson Valley Veteran Patients
A particular service provided by the Veterans Administration is hospice care for all veterans who need it. Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc. has provided hospice care to veterans in New York’s Hudson Valley Area for nearly ten years. In accordance with the VA, these services come at no cost to our nation’s heroes. Veterans’ services include the same physical, mental, and emotional care with additional benefits such as time spent with other veterans and a special tribute to the patient’s service and sacrifices.

Veterans face particular physical issues as a result of their service. Chronic pain, for example, is widespread. Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc. helps patients with chronic pain and symptom management, with a registered nurse visiting to focus on comfort care. Traumatic brain injuries (TBI) are another area in which our team is highly qualified. To ensure our patients and their loved ones are supported and comfortable, our nurses provide a full spectrum of nursing care for TBI patients, staying on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc. also employs a fully certified team of Licensed Master Social Workers. For veterans experiencing depression, PTSD, or other emotional conditions, LMSWs will provide counseling and guidance and aid for both the veteran and their loved ones.
