How Hudson Valley Families Benefit from Hospice Fundraising

Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc. is the leading hospice care provider for Hudson Valley families thanks to the efforts of our team and the support of our community. We are a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit, and since our beginnings in 1988, we’ve provided exceptional care for families across the Hudson Valley thanks to the direct support of the community. Each donation ensures end-of-life comfort for a resident of Orange or Sullivan county.

Donations made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc. can come in a variety of ways. They can come in the form of tributes to loved ones, planned gifts, or individual contributions. They can also come through fundraising events such as a sports tournament or walk-a-thon sponsored by groups. Contributions can be as personal or unique as you desire. The funds we raise directly benefit the Hudson Valley community, and your support helps us provide compassionate care to every patient. Donations also support programs that provide grief counseling and bereavement services to patients’ families. While most hospice services are covered by health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, donor contributions allow us to provide additional services that are not covered.

Donations can also come in the form of companionship rather than money. We’re always looking for volunteers to provide comfort and increase the quality of life for our patients. Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc. offers seasonal training sessions to help volunteers interact with hospice patients and their families. From letter-writing to bereavement support to assisting with activities, you can make a big difference in someone’s life.
