A Holiday Tradition Rooted in Community
December 2022 Blog
Amongst other things, December is a time of year for reflecting, and giving. However, giving, comes in many forms, and is not always wrapped. Compassion is a gift, and can be found every year, around this time of year, hanging from a Hospice of Orange & Sullivan County Holiday Tree of Life.
Each year members of our community honor or remember a friend or loved one by contributing to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan by purchasing a star to place on our Holiday Tree of Life. Their special person’s name is written on the star, which is then displayed on a tree, at the location of the donor’s choice, throughout the holiday season.
This year’s six locations include:
Adams Fairacre Farms, 1240 NY-300, Newburgh, NY
Galleria at Crystal Run, 1 Galleria Drive, Middletown, NY
Peck’s Marketplace Callicoon, 9 Lower Main Street, Callicoon, NY
Peck’s Marketplace Eldred, 9 Proctor Road, Eldred, NY
Peck’s Marketplace Jeffersonville, 4899 State Route 52, Jeffersonville, NY
Peck’s Marketplace Livingston Manor, 29 Main Street, Livingston Manor, NY
Stars are available at three donation tiers – white ($20), silver ($50), and gold ($100) – and can also be purchased online. Click here to donate and please specify the location at which your loved one’s star should be displayed.
Your gift to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, provides compassion beyond the holiday season. As a nonprofit organization, we rely heavily on donations to continue offering quality end-of-life care to our community. Your contribution will help someone who is receiving Hospice end-of-life care or bereavement services in Orange and Sullivan counties. All donations are tax-deductible.
Regardless of when or how you celebrate, the holidays are a time for giving and compassion. As you buy for all those on your list, we hope you will consider supporting Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties and all those we serve this holiday season.
