In their home or ours,

Hospice provides an added level of support for cardiac patients and their families in managing CHF and other heart disease symptoms. Our team is available to answer questions and provide support to help control patient symptoms at home, avoiding visits to the Emergency Department and avoidable hospital admissions.
Hospice volunteers are important members of the hospice family team, providing support to persons under hospice care and their families.
The primary role of our volunteer is to provide companionship and/or caregiver relief to persons under hospice care and their families.
To prepare volunteers for their role with hospice, we offer training that is designed to sensitize and confidently prepare you to provide comfort to persons on hospice and their families. Training sessions are offered in the fall and spring each year.
Once the prospective volunteer has graduated from the training he or she are encouraged to provide volunteer support in and around the geographic area of which you reside. Our need and focus are in areas of Middletown, Goshen, Pine Bush, Montgomery, Walden, Port Jervis, Bloomingburg, Wurtsboro and all of Sullivan County.
Whether you want to work directly with patients and families, or perhaps in another role, you can make a big difference in someone’s life…including your own!
